EMS Pan-European roadshow visits top Russian telecoms expo

International technology leader Ciena showcased its products last week to 50,000 delegates at Russia’s largest telecoms exhibition, Sviaz-Expocomm 2011.

Midway through a highly-successful Pan-European roadshow promotions campaign - designed and managed by B2B marketing roadshow specialist Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) - Ciena took a pit-stop to attend the prestigious event in Moscow. EMS supplied and fitted out the 13.6m branded exhibition trailer for the campaign.

Visiting 25 venues in 10 countries, Ciena’s exhibition trailer is showcasing its ‘EMEA Innovation Lab’, which displays the company’s range of networking equipment and software that enables the delivery of next-generation voice, video and data services for network operators worldwide. EMS equipped the unique high-tech mobile exhibition trailer with a multi-lingual capability to offer customers across Europe hands-on experience of Ciena’s product portfolio.

Maureen Renaud, Global Events Manager at Ciena said: "In order to reach our EMEA customers, we needed a highly-experienced partner that we knew could design an engaging, customized experience and deliver a logistically intensive campaign - so we chose EMS."

EMS Client Services Director Justin Isles added: "We are delighted that an EMS-managed campaign of this magnitude attended this high-profile international show. Ciena’s success in reaching customers across Europe on this ambitious tour proves that taking to the road gives big brands the marketing edge. Over the last 30 years, Sviaz-Expocomm has been the place for international technology brands to promote their business in Russia and Eastern Europe.

"We are confident that attending the event will prove to be yet another success-story for Ciena on its event marketing campaign across Europe."

US technology leader Infinera has launched the next leg of its international business to business marketing roadshow at Terabits in Cannes with an eye-catching new design to reflect the company’s new branding, Infinera: What The Network Will Be.

And the tour will make a pit-stop at Russia’s largest telecoms exhibition, the prestigious Sviaz-Expocomm 2011, in a fresh round of visits to cities across Europe.

Managed by roadshow promotions specialist Event Marketing Solutions (EMS), the high-tech tour began in May 2009 and has already visited 20 European countries. In response to its success, Infinera has contracted EMS to manage this year’s EMEA tour.

Infinera uses the 13.6m roadshow promotions vehicle to showcase its industry-leading Digital Optical Networking systems to pre-invited guests. Customers get the opportunity to carry out live network configurations on board the exhibition unit and experience the speed, simplicity, and flexibility of Infinera’s digital network management at first-hand.

“EMS delivers a great campaign for us and we’re excited to hit the road once again, with new features and capabilities on display in the systems inside the vehicle,” said Geoff Bennett, Marketing Director at Infinera. “As the signage on the vehicle indicates, Infinera is leading the industry towards a future of more scalable, highly integrated Digital Optical Networks.”

Justin Isles, Client Services Director of EMS, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Infinera on this exciting campaign throughout 2011, and incredibly proud to be showcasing a major client at Sviaz-Expocomm.
